Principal Member
Principal Members of ALSUM can be underwriters or executives from insurance and reinsurance companies, whether multinational or local in origin, that offer marine or transport insurance in Latin America.
Principal members form the basis of the Technical Committees (Cargo, Hull, and Liabilities) and can belong to the Board of Directors.
Principal members provide the criteria and strategic guidelines that govern the ALSUM Foundation.

Associate members can include brokers, risk managers, adjusters, surveyors, consultants, recovery companies, P&I Clubs, lawyers, logistics operators, port authorities/companies, training centers, foundations, and associations of shippers and carriers, among other companies involved in the marine insurance industry.
Associates can be nominated by principal members to join any of the Technical Committees.
Type 1: Risk managers, adjusters, lawyers, and any other provider.
