Review of the forum “Hurricanes: PML Calculation and Accumulation Measurement” with Ricardo Miqueo and Rosa Morán, where it was analyzed that in Latin America and the Caribbean hurricanes are recurrent and foreseeable risks, unlike earthquakes and tsunamis. The need for underwriting policies, prevention plans, and solid documentation to mitigate losses and sustain insurance capacity was highlighted.
